backhoe and started breaking up the cement and hauling it away.
As you can see it was a long and involved process. It was taking him about an hour to break it up and fill the dump trailer. Then Grandma Sonia and Grandpa Tom stopped by....Grandma ratted us out to Uncle Tom, and he came to help. Things started moving much quicker after that. Uncle Tom is a master on a backhoe. Here's a video of him in action....
The contractor came today and removed the roof off the garage. Here's some pictures of the house without a roof. Hopefully we will not be roofless for long.
My other project over the 4th was to make a strip quilt for Joshua. They are so easy and fun to make. Here's a picture of the one I made.

The quilt is darling, now you have to get busy because all your little grandbabies need one. They are truly one of a kind, there are no two alike. I will have to copy this picture and send it to work so Kathy can see it. You should of folded a corner down so we could see the back. When you enlarge the picture you can see how darling it really is, bless Kathy for her great idea, and sharing with us, all it take is a little talent and a lot of imagination.
