The Remodel Begins

So it begins, first step we pulled all the grass up and put it in the garden to save for later. These pictures show where the new driveway and garage will be.

Next to go was the cement in the old garage and to dig down to the existing foundations

Then our Contracter came to check out all our hard work to see what else needed to be done before the new foundations could be poured. Guess we hadn't dug quite deep enough, see what you think----

BTW, the apricot tree had to go, it was right where the new garage wall will go.....

Our idea of deep enough was about 5 feet from from the bottom of the door.

Their idea of deep enough is about 7 feet form the bottom of the door.

Abigail thought all the dirt, holes, and playing on the foundations were great......
